MAGMA LAB is the result of a creative collaboration between two former classmates from the Sculpture Department of the School of Fine Arts at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki — Christos and Anthe. United by a shared vision and a deep devotion to the transformative power of clay, the two artists brought their idea to life in June 2024, establishing a space in the heart of Thessaloniki dedicated to ceramic art.

The studio showcases their personal body of work — ranging from sculptural compositions to refined functional objects — and hosts ceramics seminars for both beginners and more experienced creators. At the same time, it supports the wholesale distribution of their pieces to selected stores and galleries.

MAGMA LAB’s philosophy draws inspiration from the power of magma — the very core of the earth. Just as magma flows and transforms, giving birth to new forms, the creative process at MAGMA LAB is rooted in experimentation, constant evolution, and an emphasis on texture, form, and materiality.

With respect for traditional ceramic techniques and a bold contemporary approach, the artists shape raw materials into unique objects that reflect their artistic identity. Their inspiration stems from the untamed beauty of the Greek mainland and islands, the Mediterranean light, the infinite blue of the horizon, and the rich legacy of ancient Greek pottery and mythology. Each object carries with it a fragment of earth, history, and culture.
